Washington, D.C. (September 9, 2025)—New national polling from the Job Creators Network Foundation, conducted by Scott Rasmussen and John McLaughlin, finds that 88 percent of small businesses are planning to take advantage of tax cuts that were passed as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Provisions include the permanent 20 percent small business deduction, permanent lower rates, restored and permanent 100 percent immediate expensing, and expanded interest deduction.

As a result of these savings, 91 percent of small businesses plan to raise employee wages/benefits, expand operations, hire, or reinvest in their communities, according to the poll. Moreover, 65 percent of small businesses in the hospitality sector—notably restaurants—say that “no taxes on tips” and “no taxes on overtime” will make it easier to attract job candidates.

Finally, a strong majority of small businesses support the law’s Medicaid changes to require work requirements for able-bodied recipients.

Beyond the quantitative data that suggests the Trump tax cuts will be a broad boon for the small business economy, real entrepreneurs are sharing their specific stories. Carlos Gazitua, who owns Miami-based Sergio’s Restaurants, is opening two new locations and hiring 100 workers over the next year. Nicole Wolter, owner of HM Manufacturing in Illinois, is investing $645,000 in new machines and hiring five new team members.

“America’s small business community is clearly a big winner following the passage of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” said Elaine Parker, President of the Job Creators Network Foundation. “The polling proves that tax cuts are already incentivizing job creation and expansion among small businesses, which will help to drive economic opportunity in communities across the country. It’s clear that the tax cuts are working.”

Following passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in July, the Job Creators Network launched the Tax Cuts Work campaign. The initiative, which is housed at TaxCutsWork.com, is highlighting how President Trump’s pro-growth tax law is translating to real economic growth among small businesses. Entrepreneurs and individuals alike can share their tax savings stories at TaxCutsWork.com.
